  • DGS Honored by the Colorado Lawyers Committee

    Three people from Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP were honored yesterday at the Colorado Lawyers Committee (CLC) 2015 Awards Luncheon. Terry Miller was recognized as a member of the "Team of the Year" for his pro bono work on the Amendment 23 litigation (Dwyer v. State) and Peter Schwartz and Jean Steward were also nominated for the same award as Nonprofit Working Group Coordinators and two of that group's "Most Active 2014 Volunteers."

  • Treasury Issues Proposed Regulations on Qualifying Income for Master Limited Partnerships

    On May 5, 2015, the Treasury Department issued proposed regulations that provide guidance on whether income of a master limited partnership (MLP) related to minerals or natural resources constitutes "qualifying income" for purposes of classifying the MLP as a partnership (and not as a corporation) for tax purposes.
