Bio Sketch

Damian Arguello’s practice focuses on toxic tort litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and contract disputes concerning environmental indemnity provisions.  He also assists clients with hazardous waste, CERCLA natural resource damages, and other environmental disputes.  Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Mr. Arguello worked extensively in the insurance industry, most recently doing double duty as the errors & omissions coordinator and claims manager for a large commercial insurance brokerage, where he led the brokerage’s errors & omissions risk management and litigation activities and mediated disputes between the brokerage’s clients and insurers on complex claims and coverage matters.  Before that, he adjusted commercial insurance claims for a large insurance company, and subsequently assisted senior management in redesigning the claims department’s best practices.  Mr. Arguello’s unique experience in various sectors of the insurance field and consequent exposure to a wide variety of businesses gives him invaluable insight into insurance-related matters.
