Bio Sketch
George Hopfenbeck retired from active firm practice at the end of 1992 and is now senior of counsel in the firm’s real estate group. He joined the firm in 1954. Mr. Hopfenbeck had more than 40 years of experience in acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of real estate and related federal and state tax and securities laws. He was lead counsel in developing two major real estate projects in Colorado: Highlands Ranch, a sprawling community on 22,000 acres in Douglas County, and the early development of the Snowmass Resort area, near Aspen.
