Case Study: Natural Resource Taxation  

We have advised numerous clients in the acquisition and structuring of oil and gas ventures outside the United State, including recent ventures in Australia, Hungary and Papua New Guinea.  We have also provided  taxation advise to international mining companies for operations in various foreign countries.  These transactions required coordination with local counsel in these jurisdictions and others to understand the local tax regimes and take advantage of applicable tax treaties in structuring these investments to minimize overall tax cost.
