Prior to joining Davis Graham & Stubbs, she was the Assistant Director of the Litigation Section of the Denver City Attorney’s Office, where she oversaw eight lawyers practicing exclusively in employment and labor law. She received her B.A. in 1987, magna cum laude, from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, where she was a member of the university’s honors program and she was awarded the outstanding graduating senior woman award. She received her J.D. in 1990, summa cum laude, where she was a member and articles editor of the Arizona Law Review and she received various awards, including the outstanding senior award. Following law school, she was a law clerk for one year for the Honorable Robert Boochever of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She was an instructor of law for one year at the University of Miami School of Law, and served as an associate in the Litigation Section of the Washington, D.C. office of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. She moved to Denver in 1995 to be a Senior Trial Attorney with the Denver District Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where she worked until she joined the Denver City Attorney’s Office in 1997.

Ms. Kisken is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of the State of Colorado, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. She also is admitted to practice law in California, Colorado, and the District of Columbia, and has been admitted to other courts for the defense of particular cases.

Ms. Kisken is on the Board of Trustees for the Denver International School and has previously been active in the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the French-American Chamber of Commerce and the International Municipal Lawyers Association, including as Chair of the Personnel Section.
