Colorado's Front Range is an exciting place to work, live and play. Attractive neighborhoods abound downtown, throughout the city, and into the suburbs and Rocky Mountain foothills. The Mile-High City is one of the most educated in the nation, and the area boasts many fine colleges and universities, and excellent private and public school systems.
Colorado's weather – four seasons combined with more than 300 days of sunshine per year – makes it perfect for active sports. Denver's tree-lined bike trails hug its waterways and have been cited by bicycling magazines as among the nation's finest; they are popular with in-line skaters and hikers as well. All of these trails converge at the city's heart and founding location, Confluence Park, a short stroll from DGS. The region's golf courses are open year-round. It is possible on some January days to golf in the morning and drive a short hour to ski in the afternoon.
A short drive from Denver takes you to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains for serious or recreational mountain biking, fly fishing, hiking and rock climbing. A slightly longer drive yields the challenge of wilderness backpacking, mountain climbing, whitewater rafting and kayaking, and some of the world's finest ski and snowboard terrain.
If you prefer spectator sports, Denver is home to six professional teams – football, baseball, basketball, ice hockey, soccer and lacrosse. The city offers the arts and culture of a major metropolitan area, including a symphony orchestra as well as professional theater, ballet and opera companies. There are world-class art, western history, children's and natural history museums, complemented by the Denver Botanic Garden, zoo, aquarium, libraries, observatories, and amusement and water parks.
DGS is located in Lower Downtown ("LoDo"), Denver's most historic district, and its most dynamic. Three sports venues – Coors Field, the Pepsi Center, and Invesco Field at Mile High – are within walking distance of our offices. In the LoDo district you will find a great selection of trendy restaurants, clubs, galleries, coffee houses and shops. Thousands of units of loft apartments and condos are available in historic buildings or new construction within easy walking/biking distance of the office. Located one block’s walk from our office is Historic Union Station, which is under redevelopment as Denver's intermodal transportation hub.
