Case Study:  Inconsistent Jury Verdict

An employee won a substantial jury verdict against her employer for discrimination on the basis of race.  We obtained a reversal and a new trial on the ground that portions of the jury verdict conflicted with each other, and that there was no way to reconcile the conflict.
