Case Study:  Litigation/Administrative Appeals

DGS has represented major coal companies such as Peabody and Kennecott in disputes and litigation involving efforts by oil and gas companies to stall long-planned coal development at several mines within the Powder River Basin.  In that litigation, DGS has obtained on behalf of its clients favorable interlocutory decisions from both the United States District Court in Wyoming and Wyoming administrative agencies.  These decisions resulted in a favorable settlement negotiated by our clients.
