Case Study: Land Management Plans
Federal land managers are required to prepare periodically land management plans and may approve proposed activities only if they are consistent with requirements imposed in those plans. From time to time federal agencies have proposed land management plan requirements to protect fish and wildlife that would prevent reasonable development of our clients’ projects. We have been retained by industry trade associations and, with the assistance of fish and wildlife experts, have made proposals that have been accepted by land management agencies that protect fish and wildlife and allow reasonable development of proposed projects.
