Case Study: Trans-Alaska Pipeline System
DGS represented a consortium of the world’s largest oil and gas companies in successfully renewing the federal right-of-way and other authorizations for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (“TAPs”) that stretches from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez. We advised the companies on all aspects of NEPA compliance for TAPs renewal from selection of third-party contractors through the Secretary of the Department of the Interior’s signing of the record of decision approving the renewal. We successfully defended the companies in administrative appeals that were taken from that decision, and no challenges were brought in the courts.
