Daniel M. Franklin is an associate in the Natural Resources Department of Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP where his practice focuses oil and gas, mining, and midstream services. He represents oil and gas companies in the purchase and sale of producing and nonproducing properties and in the negotiation and drafting of exploration, operating, leasing, surface use, and master service agreements. Mr. Franklin also assists clients with various title issues, including the preparation of all forms of title opinions covering fee, state, and federal lands.
Prior to joining DGS, Mr. Franklin worked as a landman for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation where he assisted in the development of oil and gas assets in Colorado and Wyoming. He is a member of the Wyoming Bar Association.
Mr. Franklin earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he served as the editor-in-chief of the Oil & Gas, Nat. Resources & Energy Journal. He graduated with a M.A. and B.S. from the University of Oklahoma. While in undergrad, Mr. Franklin played football for the University of Oklahoma and was a four-year letter winner and Academic All Big 12.
