Martine Ventello

Associate

Martine Ventello's practice focuses on general corporate transactional matters, as well as asset management, private equity and other alternative asset fund formation, and investment advisor compliance. Before joining DGS, she was a student honors intern at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and assisted attorneys in investigating and litigating securities violations in areas such as advisers’ breach of fiduciary duty, misleading auditors, market manipulation, and insider trading. Prior to that, she was a summer associate with Partners Group, a Swiss-based global private equity firm. While earning her law degree, Ms. Ventello worked as a senior compliance analyst at Resource Capital Funds, advising firm leadership on compliance with federal securities laws and international securities regulations. Earlier in her career, she was Assistant Vice President, Compliance for Solus Alternative Asset Management LP in New York.

Ms. Ventello holds a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she received a number of merit-based scholarships and awards. She also has a B.A. in Government & Law and History from Lafayette College. During her undergraduate program, she studied abroad in London and was a law clerk with Lomax Lloyd-Jones Solicitors.
