Press Releases | September 24, 2021 Davis Graham Ranks 12th in Law360’s Glass Ceiling Report

Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is pleased to announce that it has been named among Law360’s Best Law Firms for Female Attorneys. Law360’s 2021 Glass Ceiling Report surveyed 269 U.S. firms about their demographic makeup as of December 31, 2020, using a methodology that grouped firms according to the number of attorneys employed. At Davis Graham, which ranked 12th among participating U.S. law firms with 101 to 250 lawyers, nearly one-third of the firm’s partnership and more than half of non-partners were women at the end of last year. Half of the firm’s Executive Committee members, including one co-managing partner, are women.

“We are proud to be recognized once again as a leading law firm for female representation,” said Tess Hand-Bender, who co-chairs the Davis Graham Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. “While the COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected working women, our example demonstrates that law firms have the potential to foster a culture where women attorneys can thrive, personally and professionally.”

Davis Graham has a strong track record of promoting gender parity, having consistently demonstrated that women form a meaningful percentage of equity partners, leadership positions, governance committees, and most highly compensated partners. The Davis Graham Women’s Network, supported by the Davis Graham Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, meets throughout the year and hosts the Women in Leadership Lecture Series (WILLS), which features valuable perspectives on overcoming personal and professional obstacles on the path to leadership.

According to Law360’s latest findings, only 7.4% of law firms met or bettered the established benchmarks, with the majority of success stories coming from firms with fewer than 251 attorneys. The 2021 Glass Ceiling Report suggests that in spite of the obstacles imposed by COVID-19, firms like Davis Graham have remained committed to advancing female representation from within.
