Brownfields Development Seminar Series: Part I

November 4, 2014

Please join us for the first of three breakfast seminars on hot topics in brownfields development hosted by the DGS Environmental and Real Estate Groups. Our first seminar will include:

  • How to avoid legal and deal-related pitfalls during brownfields development, using high-profile projects in the Denver area as examples; and
  • Recent environmental regulatory developments and incentives affecting brownfields projects, including Colorado's new Petroleum Cleanup and Redevelopment Fund, updated asbestos-contaminated soil regulations, and new conditional closure policy for low-threat groundwater contamination sites.

Our speakers for this first Brownfields Seminar are:

  • Roger Freeman, Partner, DGS
  • Nicole Abbott, Of Counsel, DGS

The Series will be introduced and moderated by DGS partners Chris Kinsman and Catherine Hance.

Part II, on December 2, will focus on environmental due diligence strategy, the updated ASTM Phase I Standard, and environmental insurance.

Part III, on January 15, will focus on purchase agreements, indemnities, escrows, and finance agreement negotiation and strategy.
