DGS Partner Tom McNamara Appointed U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Colorado

DENVER - MARCH 20, 2015 - The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit has appointed Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP partner Tom McNamara as a new U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Colorado effective March 23, 2015. He has been appointed for a term of 14 years and will replace the Honorable A. Bruce Campbell upon his retirement.

Mr. McNamara has extensive experience representing clients in courtrooms across the country and internationally in dispute resolution, bankruptcy, and regulatory matters in the natural resources, banking, securities, financial services, telecommunications, geospatial imaging, hospitality, and consumer products industries.

About Tom McNamara

Mr. McNamara has practiced law with DGS since 1990 and became a partner with the firm in 1997. He has specialized knowledge and experience concerning litigation of unique international law issues. In addition to dispute resolution and bankruptcy, Mr. McNamara advised clients on regulatory matters (particularly oil, gas, and mining regulations and use of public lands) and compliance with domestic and foreign law including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the UK Bribery Act, other anti-corruption legislation, international sanctions regimes, and international export compliance. He also advised on commercial contracts and transactional matters, particularly in the areas of oil, gas, mining, international sales of goods, and other international transactions. He received a B.A., graduating summa cum laude, from the University of Minnesota and earned a J.D. from Yale Law School.
