Tariq Adawi and Amy Bowles Join DGS As Associates

Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has added two associates: Tariq Adawi, who is currently admitted to practice law in Colorado and Missouri, and Amy Bowles, who is not currently admitted to practice law in Colorado but is admitted to practice in New York. Their experience will contribute to the capabilities that DGS provides to clients across industries.

Tariq Adawi is an associate in the Transactions Department, where his practice encompasses a variety of corporate and general business transactions. He advises clients through each stage of the business cycle, with a particular emphasis on start-ups and formations, mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate financings, syndicated real estate deals, and soft intellectual property licensing opportunities. Prior to joining DGS, Mr. Adawi worked as an associate at a boutique corporate law firm in Denver. Previously, he co-founded a technology startup based in Kansas City, Missouri, where he co-invented, designed, and patented a unique way to aggregate, gamify, and display social media content in a mobile application format. Earlier in his career, he founded his own web development consultancy and the Slashthree International Art Collective. Mr. Adawi received his J.D. from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law and his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Missouri. During law school, he was a national champion of the Intellectual Property LawMeets® Negotiation Competition and was consistently recognized on the Dean’s List.

Amy Bowles is an associate in the Trial Group, where her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. She was previously an associate in the New York office of a large international firm. There, she represented clients in a broad range of matters: antitrust, breach of contract, economic torts, employment, and expedited M&A and bankruptcy-related proceedings. She has experience in all phases of litigation, including bench and jury trials, as well as appeals. Ms. Bowles received her J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law and her B.A. in Political Science from Kenyon College. During law school, she served as a lead article editor for the UC Irvine Law Review. After graduating, Ms. Bowles was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Marjorie O. Rendell of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Honorable Gene E.K. Pratter of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In addition to being licensed in New York, she is admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
