Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is pleased to announce that Jason B. Werner has joined the firm as of counsel in the Business & Corporate Advisory Group. Mr. Werner is admitted to practice in Colorado and New York. His practice will continue to have an emphasis on corporate transactions, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity matters.
Prior to joining DGS, Mr. Werner practiced in the Denver office of an international law firm. He led teams representing transactions for private equity funds, independent sponsors, public and private purchasers and sellers, and other buy-side entities in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Werner's invaluable experience in corporate restructuring, negotiating documentation for upstream and downstream entities, joint ventures, and serving as outside general counsel has helped organizations achieve their objectives. He previously worked as an associate in the New York office of an international law firm and for a futures exchange company in the financial services industry.
Mr. Werner received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.B.A. in Finance and Political Science from Emory University Roberto C. Goizueta Business School. During law school, he held a judicial externship with the Honorable Jorge A. Solis of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and served as the financial editor for the American Constitutional Society Moot Court.
